Detelina Vassileva
- Head of Managed Services Helecloud
Facilitator : Emotionally Intelligent Leader.
I first took the Emotional Intelligence training in June, 2019 and then read the book by Daniel Goleman. Both the course and the book were invaluable in understanding the importance of these competenciesfor success but the moment I was sure we needed this program in HeleCloud was when I had my ownassessment results debrief. No 360 o feedback has ever provided me with that amount of insight on what people find important and how much I am meeting those expectations.
In Helecloud, we started our Emotional Intelligence journey the same year. We have started using what we learnt in improving our recruitment process so we can better assess emotional intelligence and cultural fit. I’d love to share as well how we started measuring the emotional climate in the team to get a better sense of how people are feeling and why.

Tsvetomir Doskov
- CEO of Sirma Business Consulting
- Moderator of the panel discussions
He is involved in finance, banking, insurance, team management, projects and businesses. For 20 years he has been practicing and studying martial arts, misogyny, zen, ikebana, origami. Fate meets Diliana for the second time in 2016, and she provokes him to seek and discover the practical connection between theoretical models in management and the virtually simple principles, methods and techniques for personal awareness and the individual contribution of each to the business organization.
In the first leadership accelerators for “Emotional Intelligence” he discovered that in order to create an emotional environment and connection between people, the individual needs to understand and master their actions and emotions, which can be trained through simple, short and powerless exercises. He is currently developing exercises that can be applied to both children and adults. She is working on adapting role-playing games to understand EI and to analyze the various conditions that people may be able to assist in learning and implementing EI in business.
My area is marketing and sales in the medical field (medical devices and medicines) and I have experience in creating and developing successful teams and working with key customers.
My passion for emotional intelligence and its application in business and everyday life is combined with interest in managing and motivating teams and in igniting individual interest to contribute to common goals.
After participating in a previous accelerator, my team and I discussed about improving the atmosphere in our office and integrating individual values into the overall picture of targets for achieving leading results. Personal commitment of each team member leads to creativity and efficiency. The key to commitment is how we feel together, and the keylock is what we think and know. Every day I ask myself questions about what drives us and gives us energy, what makes us jump out of bed in the morning and when we feel inspired and satisfied. And I believe that emotional intelligence helps us find workable answers.
Holding degrees in engineering, economics and coach certication I have experience with applied psychology and psychotherapy.
On a first place this survey provoked self-reflection about the wide range of feelings that we all experience at the workplace and gave the employees the opportunity to express both – their problems and worries, but also the things that make them feel happy.
The project made possible for all participants to listen and share opinions with their colleagues and in this way to get in a better touch with the real team needs and values.
It helped them to realize that at the workplace there is also a large variety of things that provoke positive emotions.
Additionally, it give them the opportunity for coming up with suggestions for improvement and to take active part in the definition of some necessary actions and next steps.
For me personally the topic of emotional intelligence forms completely different way of thinking that largely influences our personal, team and global corporate transformation.

THE VITAL ROLE OF EI IN AN AI FUTURE
As AI and digitization becomes even more pervasive in the business world and society in general Emotional Intelligence will become an ever more essential.
In this presentation we will look at some of the most relevant applications of EI in the ‘brave new world’ and how they will lead to business success. With human beings increasingly distanced and disconnected from direct, in person human relations, and relying more and more on virtual and human to ‘machine’ communication, the role of EI will be crucial in building and maintaining employee engagement, morale and commitment, and customer loyalty and satisfaction. Team leaders will need to stay in touch and create strong bonds with, and within, their virtual, geographically dispersed teams.

Positive Emotional Culture and Entrepreneurship – Path to Innovation
Workshop Benefits
For entrepreneurial success to remain a sustainable successful business, the entrepreneurs must manage the emotional culture. When leaders grow an entrepreneurial approach in the positive emotional culture they build high performing and innovative organizations.
Positive feelings have a ‘broaden and build’ effect causing us to think more broadly, engage more deeply and perform better. Entrepreneurial leadership is more prevalent among founder-leaders but is embraced in many innovative organizations. It involves influencing and directing the performance of group members toward achieving those organizational goals that involve recognizing and exploiting entrepreneurial opportunities.
The workshop is most beneficial for C-level managers and entrepreneurs

Emotionally intelligent practices connecting your people and agile systems to scale teams and businesses.
Workshop Benefits
Success depends on growth and our collaborators are instrumental in facilitating this. In this workshop we take a closer look at how to sync our people and the systems they use in order to grow.
Agile teams must be supported by agile systems and processes which are up to the job in order to execute on the strategies put in place. Silos need to be broken down and communication must be seamless and coherent. In this workshop you will learn to:
- Install a sense of agility into your company’s workflow which allows collaborators to assertively interpret business challenges while remaining focused on the wider business goals.
- Utilize the SCARF model to analyze reward and threat responses.
- Use positive influence to project future possibilities / outcomes.
- Maximize efficiency and effectiveness by reducing meetings but maximizing team interactions – short but regular touchpoints and catch-ups epitomizing agility.

EMOTIONALLY INTELLIGENT ORGANIZATIONAL SYSTEMS AND PRACTICES
If we put good people in a bad system, most likely they will produce bad results.
Leaders are often not even aware that outdated management systems and practices get in the way of results. The right hardware (systems) is needed for the software (behaviors) to run.
The brain experiences the workplace as a social system and this presents tremendous challenges to leaders. The workshop reference the brain-based model for collaborating with and influencing others – SCARF. Every organizational system (for example Performance management system) and practice (for example team meetings) impacts people SCARF dimensions either positively or negatively and impact their engagement and performance.
We will discuss practical tips to intentionally address the social brain and to develop a scientific-based action plan to align your systems with true drivers of human social behavior and achieve better business results.

Entrepreneurship and Authenticity – the Successful Leadership of Today and Tomorrow
Workshop Benefits
Entrepreneurs are focused on their dreams and tend to be single minded in achieving them. But they can’t do it all on their own. They need to grow and lead their organizations and rely on others too. They need to encourage collaboration and build high performance teamwork. Chris Pether will help delegates explore the challenges entrepreneurs go through and the relevance of all six Genos dimensions of Emotional Intelligence to overcoming those challenges. Michael Banks will focus on Authenticity. An authentic leader is able to communicate and make real an exciting vision of the future, he or she inspires you to want to pursue that vision and, more than anything, creates a trusting environment because of her own genuine, honest and authentic behavior. A leader with these authentic qualities, is key to building high performance teamwork and achieving the entrepreneur’s goals.

Skillful Authenticity: the key to freedom and success in business and in life!
The ‘new’ post-pandemic hybrid world, in which it is much harder to communicate and build relationships virtually, has put a much greater premium on skillfully authentic leadership.
Leaders have had to step up and show the way by being vulnerable, trustworthy, approachable, kind and supportive. When someone is authentic they inspire people to follow, collaborate and engage with them fully.
Authenticity in leadership creates an environment that encourages people to take risks, speak out and be themselves. There is a huge feeling of freedom and release in being yourself, which in turns adds to peoples’ well being by minimizing stress and fear.
This workshop is for leaders and future leaders at all levels. You will learn how to:
1. Actively express your authentic self in the world so you feel great about yourself and achieve positive results through your communication!
2. Avoid feeling small and defeated in conversations or speaking clumsily and unskillfully?
3. Use authentic behavior to resolve conflicts, deal with ‘difficult’ people and feel you’ve fully represented yourself in any circumstance.
4. Tell your truth in a way that is constructive and leads to win-win results and situations.

Emotionally Rewarding and Effective Organizational Systems and Culture – Engaging Emotionally Intelligent Organization
Workshop benefits
The two topics in this workshop are interdependent. Both leaders’ behavior and organizational systems evoke emotions. Emotional culture or what most people feel most of the time influence the behavior, practices, and organizational systems. At a collective level, emotions we all experience at work, impact the bottom line. In high performing organisations, people experience more positive emotions and less negative emotions than those in low performing organisations.
Measuring emotional culture combined with assessing systems would help develop the right interventions. Aligning your systems and developing your emotional culture will build your organization as a highly engaging and performing workplace – emotionally intelligent organisation.
The workshop is most beneficial for C-level managers.

Collaborators as the first stakeholders – why your team members should be your primary focus
Culture-first companies are on the rise and for good reason. Don’t people want to work for a company that they align with and makes them feel empowered and happy?
Of course they do! It’s clear that if companies become too client centric they risk de-motivating the very people who are delivering their promise on a daily basis – their collaborators. These culture-first companies are a lot more than just free food and drinks, bean-bags and flexible working hours though!
In this workshop you will learn how to:
Create a culture of autonomy and empowerment by placing your collaborators at the heart of the business making them the primary stakeholders.
- Develop and foster a learning culture whereby your team members are encouraged and empowered to build a clear progress path within your organisation, hereby reducing collaborator churn-rates.
- Unlock potential talent through boosting self-awareness and positivity.
- Reduce client churn rates by demonstrating emotional reasoning, positivity and resilient behaviours when communicating, in particular during testing economic periods.

OBJECTIVES MANAGEMENT WITH EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
There are targets or cases which look quite ambitious, very hard to be achieved – nevertheless the team is rushing into the target, huge commitment is observed and people are reaching levels they did not expect, neither did you!
There are also targets which are quite logically set, you see them already happening but yet, they are failing to be reached and people from the team cannot deliver even the usual results.
Why do we experience such differences? In the sales organizations the planning, the communication, the tracking of the targets takes huge sources and concerns all team members. The leaders are in both roles – setting and delivering targets, therefore we consider the topic so important.
I’m sure you have the same questions and we are waiting for you to share your experience and to give you some answers.
